Cycling in the Suburbs

Greetings from a sometimes-cyclist in the suburbs! Cycling here can be a bit frustrating because it is very hilly and the infrastructure is not set up very well for the slow speed of bicycling. The traffic is heavy and fast, the shoulders are small, and the signals sometimes ignore you.
